It’s the Best Way to Help AnimalsWelcome to the super amazing vegan and health blog! Over the next few weeks we'll be covering everything vegan and heath related. We'll be covering EVERYTHING and when I say everything I mean everything. We're UK based so we'll be covering everything from the best places in the UK to buy vegan and health food right through to which health insurance brokers offer discounts for vegans. You'd be surprised how many health insurance providers offer discounts for vegans because its such a healthy way of living. Plus health insurance providers aren't stupid. They know that someone who is vegan is way less likely to be a heavy smoker or drinking and is way more likely to be living a health lifestyle. Us vegans care about our bodies! Now something we're keen to do before we go and promote how amazing a vegan lifestyle is, is show you a few must know things FIRST. 1. Take it easy. Some people go vegan overnight, and they never look back. But for many others, a slow transition is more sustainable (and pleasurable) than a 180-degree turn. If the idea of going vegan feels daunting, start with a couple of small steps, like a Meatless Monday challenge at home, or switching one of your daily meals to a meatless and dairy-free option. (You'd be surprised at how easy it is to trade your turkey sandwich for hummus, tempeh bacon, and avocado). 2. Do your homework. I'm quick to say that vegan food is just food. While there are a couple of secret weapon ingredients to have on your radar for the most part a healthy appetite for grains, beans, and produce is all you really need to get started. 3. Start with dishes you know and love. Going vegan expanded my palate dramatically: I learned about all sorts of global cuisines, warmed up to my spice rack, and tried ingredients I'd never considered before. But my culinary repertoire was pretty meager when I made the switch. If you already have some culinary experience, don't assume that you'll need to acquire an entirely new bag of tricks to eat vegan or vegetarian. If you follow that simple advice above you'll be well on your way to joining the every growing VEGAN TRAIN as well love to call it here. So in case you know very little about WHY you should actually become vegan just check out these points below and tell me that you don;t think you have a moral obligation to now. It’s the Best Way to Help Animals If you do choose to become vegan the average person saves around 200 animals per year. So even if you don't are about your own body think about how many innocent animal lives you'd saved. Does that cow in the field really deserve a steel rod through his head so you can have a nice burger at your next lunch? Slim Down and Become Energized By becoming vegan not only will you be healthier in general but you will loose weight and have more energy because your body isn't trying to digest that meat. Be Healthier and Happier This is one that people often forget or take for granted. You will be happier as a vegan because you won't have the death of all those animals on your mind. Once you see how they are kept you will understand what you are doing is so right and what we are doing as a society just consuming is wrong. i hope you've enjoyed reading about being vegan and keeping a healthy and body. Because that's what you'll get both a healthy mind and a healthy body. Becoming a vegan is the way forward my friends!
